Holy Week Retreat – Drumalis

In the days following Jesus’ death, his disciples feel lost, their hearts heavy with sorrow and confusion. Grieving and searching for meaning, some of his closest followers find themselves journeying along the road to Emmaus, their steps slow and weighed down with the same disbelief and pain that we too experience after losing a loved one, especially when their loss is tragic and unexpected. They are overwhelmed, their hopes seemingly lost, and the world around them feels uncertain and broken.

In this moment of chaos, Jesus joins them on their journey. He listens and reconnects them to the stories of hope. He invites them into a different territory where their journey becomes a pilgrimage into hope rather than into despair. In their chaos he invites them to discover new possibilities.

The journey of Holy Week is such a pilgrimage into hope. We struggle with faith as we encounter suffering in life, but this retreat invites us to connect with the Passion story as one of a God who is present in the places where people suffer, not causing suffering but walking with us towards healing and hope.

The retreat will begin with registration from 5 pm on Holy Thursday, 2 April and end with breakfast, which will be served after Mass on Easter Sunday morning, 5 April.

Cost:

£350 (residential)

£225 (non-residential)
