Faith & Film – A Hidden Life
Thursday 30th April at 7.00pm
Our next Faith & Film gathering features Terrence Malick’s acclaimed film A Hidden Life, based on the true story of Franz Jägerstätter — a quiet, devout Austrian farmer whose conscience leads him to resist the rising tide of Nazism.
This is a visually stunning and spiritually profound film, exploring themes of moral courage, fidelity, discernment, and the hidden ways grace moves through ordinary lives. Malick’s contemplative style pairs beautifully with Ignatian ways of seeing and noticing.
The evening will include:
- a short Ignatian introduction
- the film screening
- time for reflection in silence
- guided conversation
All are welcome, no need to register, just come along and bring a friend.
Small donation suggested.
