An Economy of Enough in a Time of Crisis and Opportunity

On Earth Day, 22 April, a participatory conference in Belfast will bring together practitioners, thinkers, and community voices to explore what it might mean to shape an economy of enough in our current moment of crisis and possibility.

Rooted in the ongoing conversations emerging from the Season of Creation and the international dialogue of the Economy of Francesco, the gathering will offer space for shared reflection on how our economic choices can foster peace, social justice, and care for our common home. Participants will be invited into honest, hopeful conversation about the systems we inhabit and the alternatives already being imagined and lived.

Dr Lorna Gold, Director of Laudato Si’ International, will join a World Café-style process where attendees engage directly with practitioners and innovators working on new economic pathways; including wellbeing and communion-based economies, cooperatives, community energy initiatives, and feminist economic approaches.

Convened by Join the Dots Together in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast, the Economy of Francesco, and a network of collaborators, the event aims to strengthen relationships across communities and inspire practical collaboration toward an economy that is truly enough for both people and planet.

The event is free but registration is essential.
