A Year of Ignatian Prayer, 2026-2027
An immersive journey in prayer, presence and discernment
Now entering its third year, A Year of Ignatian Prayer offers a gentle, spacious pathway into Ignatian Spirituality. Whether you are familiar with the tradition or encountering it for the first time, the programme invites you to deepen your relationship with God, grow in interior freedom, and cultivate a more attentive, discerning way of living.
The year unfolds through ten in‑person Saturday sessions in the Belfast Jesuit Centre (10am–4pm), supported by seven online Integrative Practice Pause Points; short, reflective Zoom gatherings designed to help you weave the graces of each session into the rhythm of your daily life.
Across the year we explore themes such as:
- St Ignatius: a man for our times
- Images of God
- Approaches to prayer: Lectio Divina, Imaginative Contemplation, The Examen, Journalling
- Finding God in All Things
- Paying attention to Feelings – Consolation / Desolation
- Discernment
- God calls me
- What next?
The emphasis throughout is on practice, experience and integration, rather than theory alone.
A suggested donation of £200–£280 helps to support the programme. If you are able to contribute towards the upper end of the scale, your generosity enables us to offer bursaries to those who might otherwise be unable to attend. Bursaries are available and can be requested via the application form.
